Book Cover Designs
These covers utilize the books' iconography to allude to the profound concepts revealed in each story. For example, the word GREAT on The Great Gatsby is a burnt out light on a neon sign. Not only does the image reference the metaphorical green light that appears throughout the book, but it also conveys the absence of integrity–that, Gatsby and the American Dream aren't so "great" after all. Meanwhile, the cover of One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest deals with notions of broken-ness and how society's approach to "fixing" people is often warped. A dark color palette unites the darker themes in each novel.
